The Crypt is owned and operated by Steve “Syther” Damico, who also serves as the facility’s head trainer. Steve has been an independent professional wrestler for 18 years as well as being a lifelong lover of the sport.

 

Trained by ECW Triple Crown winner Mikey Whipwreck in 2005 in New York , Steve has gained an abundance of experience working for several promotions in the Northeast, Florida, as well overseas in China. Steve trained alongside many former and current WWE Superstars including Curt Hawkins, Zack Ryder, Matt Striker, Trent Berretta, and Darren Young among others.

 

During the Winter of 2013/2014 Steve was a guest trainer at Crazy Play Wrestling League/China Wrestling Entertainment in Chongqing, China.  At separate times he also served as an assistant trainer to beginning students at both the NYWC Academy on Long Island and Florida’s own New Era Wrestling promotion. Aside from being a professional wrestler, Steve also has a degree in childhood education. With an extensive background in professional wrestling and a degree in education, Steve brings a wealth of capability to his training facility, benefiting every student that steps through the door.
